Punjab National Bank (PNB) has released an official notification for the Engagement of Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for the financial year 2025–26. A total of 5138 apprentice seats are available across various States and Union Territories of India. Online applications are invited from eligible graduate candidates.

Vacancies are State/UT-wise and Circle-wise, and may vary as per bank requirements.
Eligibility Criteria
Nationality : The nationality of the candidate must be Indian Citizen or subject of Nepal / Bhutan or Tibetan refugee (before 01.01.1962) or OR Person of Indian Origin (as per Govt. rules)
Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 28 years
Age Relaxation
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC (Non-creamy layer): 3 years
- PwBD: 10 years
- Widows / Divorced Women: Up to 35–40 years (category-wise)
Educational Qualification
- Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized university
- Graduation result must be declared on or before 31.12.2025
- For NATS candidates, graduation should not be more than 4 years old
- Candidate must be proficient in the local language of the State/UT applied for
Apprenticeship Training Details : The total duration of the apprenticeship will be 1 year, and the selected candidate will have to go 2 weeks basic training as well as 50 weeks On-the-Job Training. The selected candidates are not an employees of PNB and there is no guarantee of the job after the training.

Selection Process
The Selection will be done through four stages:
1. Online Written Examination: Firstly, the candidates will have to go through the written examination with a Total Question of 100 with Total Marks 100 and the duration will be 60 Minutes.
The following are the Subjects for the written examination:
- General / Financial Awareness – 25
- General English – 25
- Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude – 25
- Computer Knowledge – 25
2. Document Verification: At the time of document verification the candidates must produce original documents related to: Age, Educational Qualification, Category / PwBD / EWS certificates and Local language proof.
3. Local Language Test: The Local Language Test is mandatory if candidate has not studied local language in Class 10/12 with Reading, writing, speaking, and understanding tested.
4. Medical Examination : Medical fitness certificate required from MBBS doctor.
