Srimanta Sankaradeva University of Health Sciences (SSUHS) has announced the Common Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 for admission into B.Sc Nursing, D.Pharm, B.Pharm and Allied & Healthcare courses in government and private institutes across Assam. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on 7 June 2026, and online applications will open from 20 March 2026. Candidates who wish to pursue healthcare and medical technology courses in Assam must qualify through this entrance examination.

SSUHS CEE 2026 Merit List Criteria
Merit will be prepared based on total marks obtained in the entrance exam.
Tie-Breaking Rules
If candidates score the same marks, ranking will be decided by:
- Higher marks in Biology / Mathematics
- Higher marks in Chemistry
- Higher marks in Physics
- Higher marks in English
- Marks in qualifying exam (12th) if still tied
Centres of exam: Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Silchar, Jorhat, Barpeta, Tezpur, Diphu, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Kokrajhar, Nalbari, Dhubri, Shillong, Aizawl, Itanagar, Agartala, Imphal, Dimapur and Gangtok
Reservation of seat: There shall be reservation of seats in Govt. Institutions for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC(NCL)/TGL/Ex-TGL/EWS/PwD(Divyang)/NEC category from the available seats as per Govt norms.
Eligibility Criteria of SSUHS CEE 2026 Entrance Exam for Nursing, Pharmacy and Medical Technology Courses
For B.Sc. Nursing:
a. Applicant must be a citizen of India.
b. Permanent Resident Certificate is mandatory for admission in the Govt. Institutes of Assam.
c. Male candidates are not eligible for admission in the Govt. Institutes of Assam
d. The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought. The maximum age limit for admission shall be 35 years.
e. Minimum Educational Qualification
a) Candidate with Science who have passed the qualifying 12th Standard examination (10+2), must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together. The candidate must have pass marks in English.
b) Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having Science subjects and English only.
c) English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (Nursing).
f. The candidates must pass both Theory and Practical individually in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
g. Colour blind candidates are eligible provided that colour corrective contact lens and spectacles are worn by such candidates.
h. Candidate should be medically fit.
i. Married candidates are also eligible for admission.
For Pharmacy courses:
a. Applicant must be a citizen of India.
b. Permanent Resident Certificate is mandatory for admission in the Govt. Institutes of Assam.
c. Candidate must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) Science or Equivalent Examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology and/or Mathematics from recognized Board/Council/University without grace marks. However, the students passing 10+2 qualification from non – formal and non – class rooms based schooling such as National Institute of Open Schooling, open school system of States etc. shall not be eligible for admission to B.Pharm Course.
d. The candidates must pass both Theory and Practical individually in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics, as applicable.
e. Candidate must be medically fit.
For Allied & Healthcare courses:
a. Applicant must be a citizen of India.
b. Be a Permanent Resident of Assam for admission in Govt. Institutes and must furnish a Certificate to this effect for admission into Govt. Institutes. The provision of Permanent Resident Certificate shall not be applicable to the Sons/Daughters of the employees of the Govt. of Assam.
c. The minimum qualification for selection of the candidates is H.S.S.L.C (Science) (10+2) or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English as one of the subjects and securing at least 45% marks aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology for General Category candidates and 40% for candidates belonging to ОВС/МОВС (NCL)/SC/ST(P)/ST(H) category without grace marks.
d. The candidates must pass both Theory and Practical individually in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
e. Candidate must be medically fit.
f. Candidate must be a minimum of 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.
Allied & Healthcare courses for admission in session 2026: The curriculum shall be as per National Commission for Allied & Healthcare Profession (NCAHP) for the following courses.
- Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Sciences
- Bachelor in Medical Radiology and Imaging Technology
- Bachelor of Emergency Medical Technologist
- Bachelor in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology
- Bachelor in Dialysis Therapy Technology
